Located southeast of Uptown Charlotte NC, in Union County, Indian Trail was formed in the 17th Century, serving as a stop on the trading route from Petersburg, VA to the indian settlement in neighboring Waxhaw; the town was later aptly named, Indian Trail.
Today, Union County is one of the 25 fastest growing counties in the US, with a variety of industry and commerce, agriculture, and small business and Indian Trail is a thriving part of that growth.
Homes, old and new alike, offer comfortable living options with low Union County property taxes. Families from Charlotte have migrated out to Indian Trail for its schools, churches, recreation and small-town feel but, still within close proximity to enjoy the big city luxuries.
