As quoted in a recent article by MarketWatch.com, “Analysts say uptick is about more than just buyer demand;” our inventory shortage is not only leading to multiple Offer situations but, also giving builders in the Charlotte Metro region, new life. There are currently 1,384 new construction homes on the market in the Charlotte region with 853 under Contract in MLS! These are only the new construction homes listed in MLS but, most of the successful builders are listing their homes to-be-built or their spec homes in MLS to garner the online shoppers from the vast exposure that these listings get online.
New construction is up 23%, year-over-year and we’re seeing that statistic steadily rise. As the recovery expands through the inventory homes, buyers are now trying to obtain new construction homes; many of these buyers are also facing multiple Offer situations as well.
