Price it right! Granted, there are sellers who do not have the ability to lower their price to the ‘sellable’ price (perhaps they are upside down with their mortgage) but, when presented the data of recent home sales in the area, most sellers agree with our pricing.
Prepare, prepare, prepare! We have found that most people live in their homes for 5-7 years. During that time, we somehow manage to accumulate a lot of STUFF! Many of our home sellers have even hired decorators when they moved in or sometime during their stay in their home. Decorators are a fabulous help to making a home feel like the home that YOU live in! When you’re ready to sell, we need STAGERS to come in to remove some of the decorating – the objective is to make the home more ‘vanilla’, if you will – make it a house and allow your potential buyers to be able to see themselves living in your home. Most buyers don’t have the ability to visualize their belongings in a room if it is filled with the sellers’ personal items, large bulky furniture – or as I mentioned, ‘stuff!’
