Have an issue with the new 77 toll lanes or a continued extended commute time up 77-N? Here’s your chance to weigh-in on transportation improvements in the 6-10 mile corridor around the highway.
Beyond 77 is the first of a 2-year study of the 68-mile stretch from Statesville, NC to Rock Hill, SC. Hopefully the surveyors will use these surveys to guide future planning decisions and figure out a way to fund any improvements. With a $30K/day penalty being paid by the contractor, we all know who is ultimately paying that fee!
The Beyond 77 online survey, launched this week, asks how users transit the corridor, what improvements they would like to see and how these improvements could be funded. Some of the improvements suggested include more connections between major roads bordering I-77 or if the city should focus on alternatives such as light rail, more CATS stops or bike lanes.
Take the survey and be a part of the community’s voice – after all, you are a part of the community too!
