Prior to moving from Los Angeles, we made a brief trip to Charlotte to look for a home. For weeks before we came, Debe sent us daily listings, PROMPTLY answered our online questions about neighborhoods and homes(at all hours of day and sometimes night), and reassured us over the phone. When we finally met Debe in person, she was intelligent, elegant and kind. I wasn’t so sure I wanted her sending us out on our four-day home search with someone we hadn’t yet met but, Scott exceeded our expectations in every way imaginable!
As a former contractor AND artist/painter/carpenter, Scott has an incredible eye for detail…both in homes and in reading people. I think Scott sifted through what my husband and I most valued in a home before we did. He read our body language as he watched our reactions to dozens of homes and helped us clarify what was more “want” and what was more “need.” He pointed out details in homes (both positive and negative) that we may never have noticed on our own. He also got us to think more openly. Scott worked tirelessly for us those days, making the absolute most out of our trip.
The home that we ended up buying was the only home we viewed that we had not chosen to put on our list to see…But Scott knew we should see it! In the home that is now ours, Scott saw what we wanted, even though we didn’t see it at the time. He casually drove us by and suggested we take a look en route to another home. In the end, it made our top three and then our first choice.
Debe made negotiations smooth and quick. The quality professionals she suggested we use for mortgage and closing services were every bit as phenomenal as Debe and Scott. Even with a glitch (on our part), her team worked it out so we could close as planned. Weeks later, Debe even offered to go to bat for me when we encountered problems with our moving company.
More than a year passed, and Scott came by our home to see how we had adjusted. He took an interest in a custom made piece of furniture that contained bad defects. Scott offered his assistance as I figured out how to handle the situation. He knew I was anxious and upset about the situation, and he called me weeks later to see how the situation had turned out. I already knew Scott was an amazing Realtor, and now I know how much he genuinely cares for each of his clients, long after closing.
