First Night Charlotte
8 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Uptown

First Night is Charlotte’s “official” New Year’s celebration. A fabulous cultural celebration that takes place each year in Uptown Charlotte. Enjoy artists, musicians, dancers, comedians and magicians who fill the streets the streets of Uptown. There’s even a kid’s countdown planned for earlier in the day. Stay for the evening and enjoy the spectacular fireworks show at midnight. Here’s a quick video of last year’s event.
