Open houses will remain in our minds as one of those ‘fun’ ways to spend your Sunday afternoon–driving around, ‘just looking’ at homes for the afternoon was a great way to spend the day with our parents! Oftentimes people attending open houses aren’t even in the market to purchase a home–they’re ‘just looking’ but, some sellers believe them to be what they need to ultimately sell their home.
That is not the case–at least it’s not in Charlotte NC! Newer agents hold open houses to convert the shoppers to their own buyers. The goal, of course, would ultimately be to SELL the home for the seller but, the odds of that happening are less than 1%.
