Charlotte NC: Art Abounds at Spirit Square First Baptist Church, erected in the early 1900’s, was designed by J.M. McMichael of Harrisburg, PA.  The central element of the structure (which has no steeple) is the Byzantine dome, similar to New York City’s Madison Square Presbyterian Church.  Church goers marveled at the stained glass windows, just as you will.  One window, on the south side of the sanctuary, was donated by Vinton Liddell in honor of his father, W. F. What's Happening in Charlotte NC This Weekend?  7/3/2013 Carolina Panther Fan Fest Join us at the Panthers at Fan Fest, presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina, on Saturday, Aug. 3 at Bank of America.  Fan Fest will offer festivities for everyone, as well as entertainment opportunities all around the stadium. Gates  open at 2 p.m. The team will also host a scrimmage on the field.  Last year's Fan Fest drew an announced crowd of 22,070 and was the largest crowd for the event since 1996.  After a scrimmage, players will sign autographs for fans.
